Steps to enter: 

  • Before uploading please label your video(s) and score(s) with the entrant's name.
  • Please note, a video recording of the entrant playing their composition is required.
  • All competitive entrants will need to upload a copy of the sheet music for their composition.
  • Sheet music can be uploaded as a pdf or as an image.
  • Multiple entries can be made by clicking +Add Entrant.
  • Once you have uploaded your files return to the form to make payment by debit or credit card.
  • Click Submit Entry Form and you will receive an email notification followed by your reward piece and Trinity coupon (if chosen) within 3 working days.
  • Submissions close on 1st July​.

Entry Guidelines 2022

All Entrants
 
  • The festival is open to pianists aged 5-18 resident in the UK in either the competitive or non-competitive categories.
  • The maximum duration for all compositions is 5 minutes. There is no minimum length.
  • The deadline for submissions is July 1st 2022.
  • All compositions must be the entrants original work, although teachers may offer guidance.
  • Entrants must submit a video recording of their piece, performed by the entrant. Examples are here.​
  • Permission must be given for this video to be uploaded to YouTube for adjudication purposes. All videos will be uploaded privately - they will be set to 'unlisted' and can therefore only be viewed by the adjudicators.
  • Permission will be requested for YouTube videos to be made public to share in the festival category playlists after adjudication.
  • All entrants will receive by email a comment sheet by our panel of adjudicators, certificate, a complimentary piece of music by a selection of composers and a coupon for a Trinity Theory Workbook e-book. ​
  • Results will be emailed by 1st September 2022

Competitive Entrants
  • All entrants must submit a hand-written or typed score. Up to age 11 this may be in any readable form, including a graphic score. From ages 12 upwards it must be notated on a stave. Teachers may help with notating the score.
  • The group for each entrant is taken from their age on July 1st 2022.
  • Entrants will be awarded a level from: Commended, Highly Commended and Distinction.
  • Winners will be drawn from the Distinction category. There will be up to 3 winners from each age group.
  • Winners will receive music books at an appropriate level and a gift voucher.
​Non-Competitive Entrants
  • This is open to all ages from 5-18 years​
  •  No score is required, but would be appreciated.

Age 5 - 8 years £10
Age 9 -11 years £14
Age 12 -15 years £18
Age 16 -18 years £20

Non-Competitive: 
All entrants £18
